Designing for Gemini-powered conversational experiences and AI-ready design systems for generative UI
Over the summer, I interned at Google Kitchener/Waterloo as a User Experience Design Intern, working on the Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience team (Applied AI). Whether you're asking Macy's for product recommendations, or Youtube TV about NFL Super Bowl details, those questions are answered by agents designed by the Applied AI team.
As a team, our goal is to transform our AI agents from conversational tools that answer questions to sophisticated interfaces that help users complete tasks. To reach that goal, I spearheaded two initiatives:
1) End-to-end design of a Gemini-powered multimodal conversational voice experience - how can we empower customers to interact with agents via voice?
2) Execution and integration of AI-ready design system for GenUI widget creation for Agent Studio - how can we build and document design systems that ?
